Funny how things go...
one day you've one third place in a typography competition, the next day you quit graphic design.
what a day! I've decided to top studying graphic design from now on. I was meant to hand in one big assignment today (which i admittingly did a really bad job of, im not motivated or inspired) and the condescending look on the teachers face made me realise that is the face of clients to come. that and im not good at "colouring in between the lines". think it might have something to do with having to put my ideas into a metaphorical box, they don't fit maaaaaan
✗i don't want to be a designer.
maybe now i can get a job, afford to have fun again and do my own creative projects without a black assignment filled cloud hovering over me

i don't feel like the course i'm doing is right for me either but i've only got six months to go out of three years so i figure it'd be a bit foolish to pull out now hahaha

I don't know about your area, but there are a lot of unemployed graphic designers out here..in Silicon Valley...so I think your decision was wise. Good luck in finding something more fun.
oh wow I was kinda feeling the same as you last year... I didn't quit my degree but i have taken a year away from study to work part time and fall back in love with design again. I'm doing lots of my own little projects and just enjoying being free to be creative of my own accord! I hope you find your creativity again soon, your blog is gorgeous x
